PR

'Public relations (PR) is the business, organisational, or social function of managing communication between an organisation and its audiences.'
As a PR person, one helps develop brand and business, deal with the local and international press and bolster the organisation's links to local media to ensure that it's work get showcased. However, aside from corporate communications, some PR people assume a more strategic role, such as HR planning - compensations and benefits, talent management and development, coaching and succession planning.
Hmm......At the rate the media moves these days with the soaring demand of online advertising for instance, no wonder Ad agencies are putting more effort into PR in the dynamic media industry.
A rather thought-provoking post.
