This post is way out-dated. ;p Late better than never. WARNING: A long and BORING post.
We took TigerAir, departed on 8 April, 7 am flight and arrived at Phuket airport about 8am, local time. As per what the forum said, when you are out of the arrival hall, there were those staffs eager to offer you their hotel transfer services - by way of van shared with 8 passengers cost 180Baht each and by way of cab cost 400Bahts each. Obviously, we took the van! (Kill People Put Fire man! haha!) Anyway, either means of transport still took us an hour journey ride to our Karon Princess Hotel. Along the journey, the driver stopped for a short while at their designated travel agency, selling you travel packages like island hopping to Krabi or Phi Phi Island, elephant trekking, etc. We chose not to buy any though.

The ride was rather pleasant - sighting the beach over the hill. We arrived at the hotel at about 9-ish. As expected, we were too early to check in, but were given our room number. Since we have nothing to do, we went to check out our room. It was about 2 mins walk from the lobby. We wasnt very impressed as the semi sea-view might be slightly far from sight. When we returned to the lobby, we were informed of possible early check in with a different room. But still have to wait for an hour for tidiness. *faint*
The moment we entered our room, we knew we made the right choice for Karon Princess. The room was spacious, the semi-seaview was beautiful! I strongly believed the first room given wasnt as good as the latter. Somehow or rather, we might have given them the impression that we are just married and there for our honeymoon. They really decorated the room with all the rose petals. Nice! Two plus points for Karon Princess are - the beach is just in front of the hotel, across the road, so near! And the shops and restaurants are merely less than 5 mins walk away from the hotel. The pictures shall justify what was said.

After a short rest, we went for our lunch at a Danish Sandwich Restaurant located along the street - The Old Phuket. As the name of restaurant tells that the owner is a Dutch and he is also the boss of the jewellery shop just beside his restaurant. In fact, we hardly see any Asian tourists. None at all. Only the caucasians. Our sandwiches cost 100 and 120 Bahts each. Same pricing as our Subway. Haha.

Straight on to the beach after our lunch. The main reason for this trip - sunbathing! And, there's no free things in the world, man. The seats you saw on the beach is not free, we have to rent it at 100 bahts per seat. Yes, there's TOPLESS babes. You want to see topless old babes also have lor. hehehe. The wave is darn strong and scary. I always thought that Im a good swimmer and even took the lifesaving course before. But, the swim near the shore with the always oncoming waves is enough to bring me into panic state, mind you! If you are a non-swimmer or cant swim well, please please please do it with supervision. As you are most likely to be caught in the white wash often, drinking free water. hehe! Well, I've got my NDU Man with me (hohoho), saw me treading water grasping for air, hold on to me till i'm more settled and to my surprise, I could stand straight in the water!!! hahaha! SHIT MAN! To think im considered a life saver. Ermmm.....years ago lah. ;p Use your impressive imagination to imagine how strong the wave is from the pictures. We will never see these in Sentosa, ECP or West Coast. hee. And my man is so happily playing in the water like a small cutie boy lor. hehe. He really loves The SUN The SAND and The SEA.
The night was spent at Central Karon. It was about 15 mins walk from the hotel. We were thinking of having Jap food and managed to find one. Sadly, the pricing was pretty much similar to Sakae and the variety was limited. Unlike those jap restaurant at MBK, Bangkok. So, we decided to give it a miss and settled for Kata Villa Steak Seafood restaurant. Its just another western food, but yummy. For a combo set of soup, prawn, fish and chicken for maincourse and a Singha beer, it costs 195bahts. There was nothing much to shop. Or rather, its expensive. I saw a dress and the selling price is 1200bahts, S$50! Oh my gawd. (Kill People Put Fire man!)Anyway, after much bargaining, i bought it at 450bahts. *faint* Our night was ended with foot massage back at The Old Phuket. It costs us 250bahts for an hour session. In Bangkok, we do it at 80 or 100bahts. My gawd! So, now we know everything is expensive at Phuket. And....There goes our Day One.
Day Two
It was lovely waking up in the morning facing the sea. Beautiful. Breakfast was at the Sunset Restaurant provided by the hotel. Just a normal American buffet breakfast. Our morning was leisurely spent in the room watching DVD and reading magazine at the balcony. We takeaway the sandwiches and headed to the beach early at 12-ish. So, the whole afternoon was spent at the beach. We saw one Asian topless babe walking along the beach. Haha. We have seen topless caucasian babe but hardly Asian cos' of our conservative mindset. Thus, was pretty surprised to see one. Hmm, can i say that its human nature to see and check the difference between topless caucasian and asian? hehe Well, you know what im refering to. If not, nevermind. Just take me as a Naive Dressed Babe! hehehe ;p
We decided to spent the night at Patong Beach. If I didnt remember wrongly, cab fare is 300baht for both person. Anyway, we stopped at this street, called Bangla St. We had our seafood dinner at Patong Seafood. The pricing was reasonable for 5 dishes. Taste wise, so-so. We walked along the Bangla St. where all the nightclubs are. Rather happening with all the Ba Po and the thai ladies dancing on the platform and bartop for the peeps to peep.
Patong beach is definitely more busier and more rowdy than Karon. That's the end of day two.
Day Three
Well.....breakfast, DVD, beaches for sun tanning, karon central, massages. That sum up what we did on day three. Simple and relaxing one. ;p
On day four, we packed our bags and ready to fly back to Singers.
That's all for our phuket trip. Feel like going back to Karon again after writing this post. *sob sob*
