4 daughters of many wishes

I'm supposed to jog with sharon this evening, but it was raining. Not sure if its good or bad though. hee *grin*

After our visit to Bedok HQ, sistas and I went TM to meet up with sharon. While we were shopping after our dinner, star was telling me how much she'd love to own the 'Mickey Mouse' bag and silver was telling me she wants a small purse. Sadly, my reply to them was, 'sorry, I cant afford to buy!' In the end, they have nothing but utter disappointment. In fact, I felt lousy too, for not being able to fufill their wish.

During my younger days, I remembered that Madeline and i would get whatever things we want. In one way or another, Mum has always pampered us by excessively fulfilling our wishes. I believe this is her way of expressing her affection to her deary daughters. Both of us were brought up in a pampering and comforting environment. As a result, we always get our right of ways, be it good or bad.

Now that both of us started working and were contributing to the family income, silver and star should have the same kinda affections and pampering by mum and their elder sistas. Apparently not. Sometimes, I really want to buy them things and pamper them the way mum has shown us. But by doing so, it would mean forgoing good meals and buying things for myself. So, I gotta make a choice - my happiness or theirs' happiness. What a tough one! ha!

All in all, the best way is to weigh the needs and wants.
